Antonio Gonzalez

Banking & Finance Partner

Tony is Banking & Finance Partner at Russell & Associates with more than three decades of banking and regulatory experience. He spent 21 years as a National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, examining hundreds of institutions ranging from community and midsize banks to some of the largest banks in the United States. He subsequently held senior risk leadership roles at Santander, MUFG and Bank of China, where he served as Head of Operational Risk.

Tony has spent his career understanding banks as complete financial institutions. He brings together an understanding of balance sheets, earnings, capital, funding, lending and interest rate risk with deep experience in enterprise and operational risk, governance, compliance and regulation. Having evaluated banks as a regulator and subsequently managed risk from inside major global institutions, Tony understands how strategy, financial performance and risk interact and how regulators determine whether management understands and is controlling those risks.

Guillermo Kopp

Technology, Payments & Transformation Partner

Guillermo is Technology, Payments & Transformation Partner at Russell & Associates with more than four decades of experience in financial services and technology. His career spans senior leadership roles at Citigroup and Microsoft and eight years as an Executive Director at TowerGroup, now part of Gartner. His combination of operating, advisory and technology experience gives him a broad perspective on how technology is changing financial services and what it takes to turn that change into results.

Guillermo has led technology organizations and major transformation programs, modernized core banking and risk platforms, built payments infrastructure, and advised Boards and senior executives around the world. His experience includes leading technology across 21 countries in Latin America and developing Saudi Arabia's national payments service. He combines deep financial services knowledge with the practical experience of building, operating and transforming the technology and payments infrastructure on which financial institutions depend.

Milind Kothare

Risk, Controls & Compliance Partner

Milind is Risk, Controls & Compliance Partner at Russell & Associates with more than four decades of domestic and international financial services experience. His career includes more than 30 years at Citigroup in progressively senior roles spanning banking operations, internal audit, internal controls and regulatory compliance, followed by four years as a Senior Director at Santander Consumer USA. His experience extends across consumer and institutional businesses, including credit cards, retail and consumer lending, auto finance, payments and trade finance.

Milind combines deep expertise in risk, controls and regulatory compliance with extensive operational experience. He has led complex programs and control functions requiring rigorous execution, detailed oversight and disciplined management of issues and dependencies. His experience across businesses, products and control functions gives him a particularly strong understanding of how risk arises, whether controls work in practice and what it takes to resolve complex operational, regulatory and compliance problems.

Ike Nwokike

Technology & Cyber Risk Partner

Ike is Technology & Cyber Risk Partner at Russell & Associates with more than four decades of experience in global financial services, including 30 years at Citigroup in senior technology risk, cybersecurity and information security roles. As Group Information Security Officer for Citi's Corporate Center, he worked directly with the firm's most senior executives and corporate functions. His broader Citi responsibilities included global technology and cyber risk programs supporting more than 75,000 employees and 2,000 applications.

Ike has deep experience building and operating enterprise technology risk and cybersecurity programs, leading global teams of more than 100 professionals and working across major technology transformations, global banking divestitures and Board-level risk governance and reporting. A Chartered Accountant, he brings a strong financial and control foundation to technology risk, together with the judgment and communication skills required to make complex issues clear to senior executives and Boards. More recently, he has helped financial institutions address significant regulatory findings and transform enterprise technology risk management.

Brent Tanner

Banking, Technology & Operations Partner

Brent is Banking, Technology & Operations Partner at Russell & Associates with more than four decades of international financial services experience. His career includes more than 25 years at Citigroup in senior global, regional and country leadership roles spanning banking, technology and operations. He has served as President and CEO of a banking operations and technology company in Japan, Chief Operating Officer of Citibank Brazil, Head of Digital, Operations and Technology across consumer businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Global Operations and Technology Head and regional Business Head for Citi Holdings.

A technologist at heart, Brent has spent much of his career bringing technology, operations and the business together through periods of significant change. He has led major global transformations, acquisitions and divestitures, digital initiatives and complex business transitions across multiple markets. His later Citi responsibilities included global leadership of divestitures and transition services for the Consumer Bank, and he subsequently served as COO of Fluent Finance, a bank-led digital asset and stablecoin business. Brent brings the perspective of someone who has not only transformed technology and operations, but also run the businesses that depend upon them.

Satya Vithala

AI, Cyber & Fraud Partner

Satya is AI, Cyber & Fraud Partner at Russell & Associates with nearly four decades of experience at the intersection of banking, technology and cybersecurity. His career includes senior leadership roles at Citigroup, where he most recently served as Head of Operations & Technology Governance, as well as Chief of Internet Services for the United Nations and Senior Director of Operations & Technology at Yodlee. His experience spans banking products and businesses and extends deeply across technology, cybersecurity, data, risk, controls and governance.

An engineer and technologist at heart, Satya has never stopped building. He has led major cybersecurity, information security and data governance programs, including Citibank's implementation of FDIC 370, while continually exploring what new technologies make possible. Today, through NJSecure and Digital Verity, he works with university researchers and development teams to research, develop and apply AI and other technologies to increasingly complex problems in cyber, fraud and financial crime. That combination of deep banking knowledge, technical depth and relentless curiosity allows Satya to move from understanding a problem to exploring, building and testing ways to solve it.

Nick is Enterprise Risk, Resiliency & Operations Partner at Russell & Associates with more than three decades of international financial services experience spanning risk management, technology and operations. He spent more than 25 years at Citigroup in senior technology and operating roles, ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer for Citi Private Bank Global Operations & Technology. His earlier responsibilities included serving as Chief Administrative Officer for Global Private Bank Technology, leading Private Bank technology across the Americas and running Citi's European data center.

Nick subsequently spent six years at FIS in senior risk leadership roles, including Chief Risk Officer for its global trading and capital markets businesses. His experience extends across enterprise and operational risk, technology and cyber risk, operational resiliency, business continuity and disaster recovery, internal controls, audit and issues management. Over his career, he has led organizations of more than 1,800 professionals and managed budgets exceeding $200 million. Having both run complex technology and operating environments and subsequently served as an independent risk executive, Nick brings a practical understanding of how those environments fail, how the risks should be controlled and governed, and what it takes to make remediation work.
